Dual pricing and cash discount programs rely on clear customer disclosure. Signage, point-of-sale screens, online listings where applicable, and receipts should accurately reflect the pricing model in use so customers are not surprised at checkout.

These programs are not one-size-fits-all. Availability and setup requirements vary by business type, location, card acceptance methods, and processor approval.

Merchant responsibilities

  • Use approved terminals, POS systems, and pricing configurations.
  • Post required signage at entrances and checkout areas when applicable.
