Security Standards

Horizon Payment Solutions works with secure, bank-sponsored, PCI-aligned payment environments to help businesses apply for merchant services and process payments responsibly.

Our security approach

We use secure website and application workflows and work with payment processors, sponsor banks, and approved technology providers that support PCI DSS and related payment-security standards.

Our public website is informational and routing-focused. Merchant applications, underwriting steps, and payment-processing functions may be completed through separate secure portals operated by our partners or service providers.

PCI and payment data

PCI DSS is a baseline framework designed to protect payment account data. Businesses that store, process, or transmit cardholder data, or that can affect the security of that data, are expected to follow applicable PCI requirements.

We encourage merchants to use approved devices, complete required PCI validation steps, and follow the instructions of their processor, sponsor bank, gateway, or compliance provider.

Secure applications and onboarding

Sensitive application data should be submitted only through approved secure portals.

Access to business and account information should be limited to authorized personnel and providers involved in onboarding or support.

Hardware, gateways, and integrations should be configured according to processor requirements.

Changes to business type, ownership, or product mix should be disclosed promptly because they may affect underwriting, monitoring, or security expectations.

What we do not promise

No security control or transmission method can eliminate all risk. For that reason, Horizon Payment Solutions does not promise absolute security, universal approval, or uninterrupted availability of any third-party processing platform.

Security responsibilities are shared among merchants, processors, sponsor banks, software providers, and hardware vendors.
